Scope and Contents
Three letters, in the first letter Lucy describes the first few days after returning from visiting Winthrop, including visits with friends and family and updates on their health. The second letter describes various clothes purchases for the Phelps children. In the last letter, Lucy writes about the health and activities of the family as well as some household purchases and repairs. There is also a letter attached to the third letter from Harriet, who describes the New Year’s festivities.
