Scope and Contents
One note and two receipts documenting money owed by Boardman to his brother-in-law Matthew Marvin. One receipt contains a letter written at the bottom from Esther Marvin to her brother, Elijah Boardman. She tells him that her husband has gone to New York and carried with him the trunk in which he kept his notes but she will see that the money Boardman sent is endorse upon Marvin's return. She also states that Mr. Marvin is taking a Doctor Willard into partnership, and that he is a very smart and active man.
