Sub-Series 3.1.1.1.
Scope and Contents
Susan Foster writes to Cornelia Boardman as per her promise to relay news of New Milford since Cornelia's departure. Notes that the church was decorated for Christmas but the weather was unpleasant and Cornelia's family did not attend church on Christmas Eve. She reports that James, Florinda, and herself all dined with Cornelia's mother and Aunt on Christmas. A second letter written by Susan's sister (signed F. Foster, possibly Florinda) comments on the well-attended reading parties and Cornelia's noticeable absence and how all of the eligible men lament her being away.
