Hale, Mary P. to Boardman, Cornelia E., 1854-1855
Sub-Series 3.1.1.1.
Scope and Contents
Two letters from Mary P. Hale to Cornelia E. Boardman. The first, written in 1854, details a missed opportunity for the friends to visit; notes a visit to Mrs. Doubleday; and the bereavement of Reverend and Mrs. St. John as the result of a shipwreck. The letter does not note who died. Hale requests that Cornelia examine a drawer to see if she left her scissors and collar there. The second letter, dated 1855, reports the receipt of a letter. Hale notes that she has been suffering from a bad cold and is confined to her home.
