Scope and Contents
Writes from Bridgeport, thanks Cornelia for her letter and tells of recent travel. Spent time in New Haven with Julia Hine and Helen Canfield. Sophia is well situated and happy, showed many curiosities that her husband bought in Europe but what she valued most were her children. Comments on the snow and winter and longing for spring. A Miss Canfield visited New Milford and returned with news of “parties without number” The remainder of the letter is obscured due to poor condition.
