Letter from Cornelia E. Boardman to her mother, Mary Anna Whiting Boardman, written from New York. Reports their disappointment in not hearing from her; Notes that she has been constantly busy entertaining company as her sister Caroline hasn't been up to it and is in the nursery; Says the baby is very well and that Frederick (Caroline's husband) left for Baltimore to stay for ten days and will try to return with Eliza (his sister). Gives news of friends including Margaretta Sanderson who is to be married the following Thursday.
