Scope and Contents
This collection is artificial. It was assembled from single-item collections of photographs of people and photographs removed from collections of family papers early in the Historical Society's history. Whenever possible, items removed were returned to the collections they came from. Many had no information to facilitate that process, and therefore remain as part of the LHS photograph collection. Some of the photographs are of silhouettes, paintings and other art likenesses of individuals.
