Scope and Contents

Cornelia E. Boardman writes to her sister Caroline Schroeder regarding various expenditures; talks about Eliza and Mr. Redfield’s visit; Sarah Gill may visit before Christmas; reports on health of family and that Mrs. Lockwood is to be confined this winter. Thanks Caroline for the present of a syringe and applies; Eliza brought grapes. The fruit was shared with various family members; reports on Thanksgiving and notes that Mother sent her all the butter she could spare. Says that Eliza will give all the news of Thanksgiving and that she could have gone sledding had she stayed another week as the snow is over a foot deep. Encloses a card which Eliza intended to give to Mr. Scott.
