Scope and Contents
Five letters, from Benjamin Tallmadge to John Paine Cushman. The letters discuss political matters, including the first Seminole War and General Andrew Jackson's conduct therein, and the exposure of corruption in the bank of the United States. Tallmadge also praises the religious revival led by Rev. Lyman Beecher and writes of the death of their relatives' child.
