Three letters from Benjamin Tallmadge to Augustus Porter and to John Paine Cushman. Tallmadge's letter to Porter requests Porter's sales accounts for salt, in connection with Tallmadge's company, Tallmadge Smith & Co. To Cushman, Tallmadge asks advice concerning pursuing Porter for the sales account of salt, requests money to purchase stock in the Albany City Loan, and discusses a suit he is considering initiating against a debtor.
