The Emily Carter Foord journal (2011-23-0) contains a variety of entries from the years ca.1830-1851. Included are many artistic sketches, poems and verses, an essay about Anglican priest and missionary Henry Martyn, cookie recipes, and geneaological information concerning Emily, her husband Alvin Foord, and their children. Also of interest is an entry discussing the life and death of Emily's infant son William Carter Foord.
