Note dated Canaan, 16 August 1780 from Andrew Lester to the Honorable Committee of Pay Table requesting that the balance of pay due to him in the service of the Continental Army be paid to Mr. Sofford Stevens. Witnessed by Elisha Baker, Justice of Peace, Canaan, Litchfield County.

This undated Letter, 2013-51-0, from "Christine" to "Bob" tells of the writers employment with the Litchfield Hills theatre, which she calls the "Bitchfield Hills," Beau Williams, members of the stage crew, citizen support for Britain during World War II and the town pharmacist.  Since it mentions "Bundles for Britain" it has been dated to 1939.
