Scope and Contents

The Rosalie Ripley Furniss collection (2015-19-0) contains papers relating to the Louis Ripley family in Litchfield. Included are folders about Kilravock, built in 1905 by Louis A. Ripley, and later an Inn when it burned down in 1976; the Litchfield Horse Show (1966); "A Book of Verses" by Harriet Guion and inscribed to Dorothy Wagstaff; a newspaper story about Mrs. Baillie Ripley organizing a Girl Scout troop in Litchfield in 1912; a scrapbook for the Outdoor Cleanliness Association in New York City (1946-1947) kept by Mrs. Frothingham Wagstaff [Dorothy]; a film of the 1929 Litchfield Horse Show [a digital copy is available]; Dorothy Wagstaff cards;and Brown Swiss cows.
