Scope and Contents

This Broadside, "New-England. A Poem, Suggested by the Litchfield County Centenniel Festival" (1972-113-2) was written by J. W. Dutcher in 1851.  The poem celebrates the landscape and residents of New England, and at the end the town of Litchfield and its Centennial Celebration. J.W. Dutcher was a publisher, who owned the Temperance Palladium in Hudson, NY and The Amenia Times, in Ameniaville, NY.
