Scope and Contents The Mansion House stood on the corner of West and South Streets until it burned down in 1886. Grove Catlin was the original owner who built it in 1800-1801 and when it was known as Catlin's Hotel. By 1849 it was the Mansion House. The photographs show the Mansion House and adjoining buildings on West and South Street.
