His wife Miriam Mallory Armstrong (1756-1851) was the daughter of Caleb Mallory and Jane Weller Mallory. A printed receipt made out to Capt. Salmon Buell of Litchfield, Litchfield County, Connecticut to certify that he paid a duty of two dollars for a 4 wheel carriage called a wagon for the year 1815. Signed by Seth P. Beers, Collector of the Revenue for the first Collection District of Connecticut on Jan. 31, 1815.

Samuel Robbins, constable of Canaan (Conn.) and collector of the state tax for Canaan is commanded to collect the tax for Oct. 1799 to May 1800. Signed by Andrew Kingsbury, Treasurer of the State of Connecticut, on June 11, 1800.

An order by A. Kingsbury, Conn. State Treasurer, issued to the Sheriff of Litchfield County, to seize the money or goods of Nathaniel Smith, who was constable of Litchfield and collector of state taxes of Litchfield in 1796 and has neglected to make payment of the taxes to the State Treasurer. On the back, Lynde Lord, Sheriff for Litchfield County, signs that the order has been executed.

An order from Isaac Baldwin, Justice of Peace of Litchfield County, to Solomon Marsh, of Litchfield, collector of the ministers rate of Litchfield, to collect the minister's rate due to Rev. Judah Champion. Any person refusing to pay is to be taken to the County jail.

The Plumb family papers (2006-03-0, 1.13 linear feet) consists primarily of personal papers relating to Frederick B. Plumb, Jr. (1913-2002) and his wife Marian Newton Plumb (1917-2003). Also included are items related to Frederick B. Plumb, Sr. (b.1878) and his wife Rena Plumb (1882-1975). The papers consist of tax receipts, account books, blueprints, and several certificates of achievement. Many items are related to The Grange and other agricultural groups.
