The Buell and Wheeler prescription book (1972-135-0) was maintained from 1876 through 1879. The book contains prescriptions that were filled at the pharmacy of Buell and Wheeler in Litchfield, Connecticut. Along with dealing in drugs, medicines, and prescriptions, Buell and Wheeler also dealt in stationary. Prescriptions written by Dr. Williams Deming, Dr. W.J. Beach, and Dr. H.W. Buel can be found in the volume.

A handwritten notebook with the title "The Materia Medica & Pharmacopoia of the Philadelphia Dispensary". Four different names can be deciphered including that of William Buel, a doctor in Sheffield, (Mass.) for 20 years, who moved to Litchfield in 1815-1816. The back cover also includes the name of William Williams, Sheffield.
