Day book (2011-94-0) records daily dry goods purchases for the year 1861 and 1862. Each day includes a listing of customers for the day and what they purchased. As well as the cost of the goods. The creator of the book and the store are unknown. The item is housed in 3B Box 15.

Scope and Contents The papers of Elihu Harrison (1797-1855) consist primarily of his business papers including bills, accounts, receipts, and orders. Elihu Harrison was a storekeeper and business man in Litchfield, first in the South Farms section (now the town of Morris) and later, about 1825, in the center of Litchfield. From the goods he purchased from wholesale merchants in New Haven and New York, it is evident that he ran a general store, selling a variety of dry goods, hardware, and groceries. The...

An account Book (1907-18-0) was partially used by Bishop Silvanus to record the accounts of the Second Episcopal Society. The volume also contains the title, "John Kilborn’s Day Book.” The Episcopal Society accounts recorded include expenses such as work on the steeple. John Kilborn's day book records matters such as silk and tobacco. The item is currently housed in 3B Box 110.

Scope and Contents The Anson Wildman Daybook (2011-65-0) is primarily a record of accounts of a general store. Most of the pages are filled with names of costumers, what they purchased, and the price. Inside the front cover has a list of a few places that Anson may have boarded. There are drawings throughout the book as well as what appears to be spelling and math practice. The last two pages of the book appear to a description of a trial in Litchfield.
