Scope and Contents

A photo of Miss. Abby Perkins (1795-1875), taken by J.L. Judd a photographer in Litchfield, CT. Photos of J. Demming Perkins, 1867. In one photo he shown wearing an overcoat and holding a top hat and walking cane. In the second photo he is standing by a horse and buggy. Photos from the original pastel protrait of Andrew Perkins and Mrs. Andrew Perkins (Elizabeth Taylor), third wife of Andrew Perkins and mother of Charles Perkins. Edish-Howell Perkins, noted as the engagement photograph, dated 1900. Other photos include Hon Julius Deming, Julius Deming Perkins, Jr., Miss Abby Perkins, daughter of Andrew Perkins, Charles Perkins (1792-1856), son of Andrew and Elizabeth (Taylor) Perkins, Edith H. Perkins-wearing a costume for a Masquerade (1887), Lucretia D. Perkins - now Mrs. John W. Quincy (1879), Edith-Howell Perkins, noted as the engagement photograph, dated 1900. Mr. and Mrs. J.D. Perkins sitting in a parlor with another woman, a large gas lamp sits on the table. A photo of a marble bust of Mrs. Julius Deming Perkins (1840-1917).

Photos of painting of Mrs. Mary Perkins (1708-1795), daughter of Dr. Caleb Bushnell, Mrs. Sarah Perkins (1744-1795), daughter of John Douglas, Doctor Elisha Perkins (1741-1799), inventor of the "Metallic Tractors", Doctor Joseph Perkins (1704-1794), painted by grand-daughter Sarah Perkins, afterwards Mrs. General Grosvenor.

Of special note are three photos showing J. Deming Perkins as "Hardcastle" and Edith Perkins as "Kate" from theatrical performance of "She Stoops to Conquer" taken by Benedict's Photo-Studio in Litchfield, CT.
