This sub-series contains the manuscripts, notes, and published writings created by Esther H. Thompson on a variety of topics relating to the history of Litchfield. Some items of note are her childhood memory of troops mustering on the town green during the Civil War and the discussion of enslaved people in town, particularly the case of William Grimes.
