13, Well Walk, London, N.W. 30.Dec. 1916 Masefield forwards 1916-12-19 thank you from Corporal Louis Leborgne; requests, in reply to Leborgne, that he thank Bull; specifies unexpended funds associated with Bull’s gift; laments the number of notes Bull has had to write ‘over this business’; does not comment on Leborgne’s promise to report on his convalescence after being fitted with a second artificial leg, enabling him to walk. Note: “Censor 3331” opened and stamped this letter.
