Masefield reports that The Daily News published Bull’s poem; encloses a cheque from the publisher for £1:1 or ‘six dollars or whatever a guinea is now’; promises to send published copies of the poem; notes the income is ‘a beginning’ and ‘just double what they used to pay’ him.
