Letter from William Pierpont in Salem, Ashtabula County, Ohio to Elihu Harrison in South Farms reporting that he, his wife and two of his children have been ill; wants Harrison and Sherman Pierpont to sue some of his creditors; hopes to be in South Farms the coming spring; has recently heard that his brother James was killed in a duel, shot through the heart, in New Orleans on 14 October.
