Scope and Contents

The George Gould Autograph Album (1986-67) contains signatures from 1827, the year Gould was graduated from Yale. The album includes messages and/or quotes from Gould’s classmates to Gould. The messages range to in topics, from personal to merely expressing the difficult of signing all the autograph albums. At the top right corner of each entry is a name written in pencil. Some of the entries also have had the death date of the signer included in pencil. Dr. Joseph Platt Cooke has a newspaper clipping of his obituary pasted into the book. Currently housed in 3A Box 27.
